ABOUT THE BOOTCAMPS

Ever tried everything to get fit or lose weight but lack self-discipline?

The elbowroom's range of bootcamp retreats could just be the thing to give you that kick start you need. So far people looking to loose weight have dropped up to 11 lbs!

Run by the elbowroom's Lisa Wilkinson, these bootcamps days will be ones to remember. Each day features, 1000 calories (1,200 for men and 1,400 for those who cannot afford to lose weight) of nurturing organic vegetarian food (provided by Bee Healthy Health Shop, Celbridge). Get into shape with yoga, hiking, pilates and fitness training each day and wind down with, deep relaxation and a visit to our outdoor sweat lodge.

The idea behind the intensive days of exercise and low calorie diet is to get optimal results in a minimal time frame. Exercising from the start to the end of the day with only 1000 calories (1,200 for men and 1,400 for those who cannot afford to lose weight), will allow your body's normal functions to continue, with the 8 hours of exercise directly targeting any excess's you have accumulated.

Although leaving a weekend spa with tinted eyelashes and freshly moisturised skin may be some peoples idea of health promotion, we feel wellbeing from the inside out will have more visible and permanent affects. Eating a pure diet and undergoing challenging exercise can bring about a motivational mindset to get you going in the right direction and keep going!

It is truly a programme for those ready to make a lifestyle change, whether you are currently 'fit' or 'not-so-fit', toward maintaining a healthy weight with fitness, fun, and relaxation.
