Pregnancy often raises many concerns and questions about the imminent arrival of the new addition to your family.You can use this period of growth and reflection as the ideal learning time for a wonderful life changing experience.Attending this workshop will empower both you and your partner to be more actively involved in your birth.

This workshop is lead by The elbowroom's founder, Lisa Wilkinson. Mother of Tuilelaith, Lisa teaches, yoga and pre-natal yoga in addition to the active birth workshops. She has trained with the YTTC and Birth International in pre-natal yoga and Active Birthing with Janet Balaskas. Lisa also trained with the renound Michele Odent and is a doula (birth attendant to provide support for women during their pregnancy and birth) and has worked in all the major maternity hospitals. She feels that with a strong courage of convictions, information and empowerment, birth can be a liberating and wonderous adventure.

Yoga and Vegetarian Cookery Detox weekend
In the beautiful Glen of Aherlow with Helen Byrne

The beautiful Tig Roy centre in Tipperary is the venue for this great weekend of yoga, cookery classes, meditation and optional hikes. The weekend will start with hatha yoga classes and meditation sessions with Helen Byrne and vegetarian cooking classes with Roy. Optional hill walking will be available for those who want to get out and explore the beautiful countryside of the Glen of Aherlow. The cost for the weekend (which includes accommodation, walks and all classes) is €320. If you wish to travel by train we can arrange a transfer from Limerick Junction (20 mins away). Early booking is advisable as we expect the weekend to be very popular!

Arrive on Friday evening to a yoga meditation and mindfullness session followed by a warm bowl of soup and spelt bread. Spend Saturday morning with a 2 hour session with helen before going off for a hike or enjoying a book by the fire. The lunch will be followed by the first cookery demonstration with the renound macrobiotic cook - Roy Galvin. Following an afternoon meditation and yoga session, your evening meal will be prepared with the finest local and organic ingredients before your very eyes. Sunday lunch will be served following your yoga session and walk. Roy is an amazing and animated cook, be prepare to be delighted and learn easy ways to incorporate healthy food into your diet! In all we have 4 yoga session, two hikes, and cookery demonstrations following each meal!

Tig Roy is a very special place, offering accommodation privately situated in the beautiful Glen of Aherlow, South Tipperary, at the foothills of the Galtee Mountains, the highest inland range of mountains in Ireland and noted for its breathtaking scenery .



This lovely venue is a 2 1/4 drive from Dublin.Comfortable and homely accommodation is in shared twin rooms in the lodge.
