KIDS PARTIES IN YOUR HOME OR AT FUNNYBONE STUDIOS

Funnybone studios was set up in The elbowroom, this year, to accommodate the needs of our clients children. Funnybone birthday parties hope to offer a healthy and creative alternative for your child. They are therefore based around a fun active workshop and with the input of your child we hope to cater for their specific needs and interests.

Workshops €50 - One workshop for one hour/two workshops for 30mins each.

Workshops available:

• Dance - Ballet, Hip Hop, Street dance, Contemporary, Musicals
• Art & Crafts - Arts and Crafts, Printing, Costume making, Drawing and painting, Collage, Mask making
• Physical Games - Ball games, Yoga bugs, Physical drama, Team games, Gymastics

Also available:

• Face Painting €20
  Funnybone studios offers a face-painting option that may help to enhance the enjoyment of your child¹s chosen workshop. Through active storytelling and imaginative games we aim to personalise each party. Props may also be used depending on workshop.
• Food €45
  To be discussed on an individual basis. All produce provided by the studio is fresh and organic.
• Photography €35
  Funnybone studios offers professional photography. Price includes full contact sheet, developed film and two A4 sized photos of your child to frame.
• Package examples:
  A Fairy Feast - (Face painting, fairy wings, ballet workshop, stories and food)
  Clown College - (Face painting, dressing up, ball games/gymnastics and food)
  An MTV-B-DAY - (Costume making, hip-hop dance, photography and food)

Basic Rate (room and children's activity co-ordinator)= €130

Deposit of €50 is required to secure the date for your party. Please ring reception for availability and times. All Parties are TWO hours long.

Please note:

• All children must be toilet trained
• The facilitator must be made aware of any allergies/injuries the children might have
• Presents are to be opened at the end of party only
• An adult known to the children must remain present throughout the party
• A maximum of 20 children for each party
• All of our staff are fully qualified and insured

A bit about your children's activity co-ordinator
Cathy Coughlan began her career as a professional dancer in 95. Two consecutive Arts Council Awards took her to Britain to continue her studies at the D.S. School of performing arts. Whilst in Britain she performed in a number of professional dance productions and on her return to Ireland continued to work as a free lance dance teacher.

In 2001, Cathy attended The National College of Art and Design where she received a BA in Fine Art. Having worked on a number of community arts projects during this time she found that her teaching practice was heavily informed by her background in performing arts. Cathy refers to this process as 'active storytelling'.

Being Nina's mum has helped Cathy to appreciate the importance of healthy childhood entertainment. Both Lisa and Cathy are actively involved in a 'community child care share' and they hope to extend this facility in the near future to accommodate a growing need for alternative childcare.
