Thanks so much to everyone for participating in the Friday Night Live for Haiti we raised €440 for Concern. The January de-toxers have shed pounds including 12lb myself and are happily showing off their healthier selves around the studios. If you fancy joining us after Easter for Detox Part II – The summer prep, please let us know.
Pilates II will be running as a course from 15th of March, any current drop in passes will be honoured but preference will be given to those who book level II as a course. Our instructors feel, clients will benefit more if the course builds on a series of postures to prepare you for level III classes and beyond. Pilates level I and II are starting March 10, 15, and 24th See below for details.
Our 2010 teacher trainers sat their final exams last weekend and I want to thank them for their dedication and hard work over the last year. They are going to be offering Good Karma Yoga Donation only classes on most Sundays so keep an eye on the schedule. Donations of €2-€5 will be going to Women's Aid. Classes start this Sunday at 11:00.
We also have a new yoga community class on Tuesday 09:30 am!

This combination takes the best of both worlds of pilates and yoga to improve your technique and keep your bodies strong, supple and injury free.
Yoga powerful tool for reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, improving concentration and balance, and increasing muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. The slow, focused movements require a strong mid-section and the isometric contractions of many exercises will add a new form of resistance training to your typical machine-based workouts.
Regular Pilates practice increases muscular strength and endurance, improves posture, and increases flexibility and helps prevent injury.

When we find that we can’t let things go, going over and over the same thoughts, our mind is caught up in the past. When we worry or are anxious our mind is caught up in the future, in what might or might not happen. When our minds are focused on the past and the future we are missing out on this moment, the present, the only time we have to really be alive, to grow, to learn.
In this course we learn a range of mindfulness practices and through instruction and guidance, class discussion and home practice we learn to bring mindfulness into all aspects of our lives.

This workshop investigates the organ system as an internal support for movement. When working from the organs, we develop an awareness of how to practice with ease, increased strength and decreased effort. We'll be focusing on specific groups of asana and the organs which support them best.

The Feldenkrais Method |

FREE session Sunday March 7th 1-2pm
The method is based in a dynamic, holistic view of the nervous system as an intelligent, adaptable organism whose essential nature it is to learn, develop and grow.
This will consist a day of lessons in Awareness Through Movement. The group lessons typically take a function (veg turning, standing, bending) for improvement. We are asked to attend to what happens in the body during the structured, movement explorations. Important, forgotten places begin to wake up and over-worked spots begin to calm down.
