Pilates is a system of exercises specifically designed to address these problems. Engaging your core muscles of the pelvic floor and deep abdomen during pilates exercises, is a great way of developing tone again.
Our post natal pilates classes are baby friendly. This means we have a lovely creche area set up at the back of the room. We mind your baby whilst you enjoy some me time. The room always open early to enable you to arrive early and feed your baby if needs be and we remain open after classes for you to enjoy a good old chat to other mums.
At The elbowroom we have developed a tailored program to help with getting rid of your mummy tummy and building back your pelvic floor strength.
This is not just for cosmetic purposes, weak or separated abdominal muscles can lead to mild or serious back issues. A compromised pelvic floor can lead to bladder control problems or worse.
