Annual Christmas Charity Class and Dinner

In keeping with the festive spirit and also as an opportunity collect toys for Focus Ireland's Crisis at Christmas appeal, we held charity class on Sunday Dec 9th followed by delicious food donated by Plan B, our local Italian Cafe. The class was be a 90 minute session with Brian, Lisa and Helen. We collected two boot fulls of toys and over 400 euro. So thanks for all your contributions.

Yoga and Vegetarian Cookery Detox weekend
Friday evening November 2nd - Sunday 4th

The beautiful Tig Roy centre in Tipperary is the venue for this great weekend of yoga, cookery classes, meditation and optional hikes. The weekend will start with hatha yoga classes and meditation sessions with Helen Byrne and vegetarian cooking classes with Roy. Optional hill walking will be available for those who want to get out and explore the beautiful countryside of the Glen of Aherlow. The cost for the weekend (which includes accommodation, walks and all classes) is €320. If you wish to travel by train we can arrange a transfer from Limerick Junction (20 mins away). Early booking is advisable as we expect the weekend to be very popular!

Arrive on Friday evening to a yoga meditation and mindfullness session followed by a warm bowl of soup and spelt bread. Spend Saturday morning with a 2 hour session with helen before going off for a hike or enjoying a book by the fire. The lunch will be followed by the first cookery demonstration with the renound macrobiotic cook - Roy Galvin. Following an afternoon meditation and yoga session, your evening meal will be prepared with the finest local and organic ingredients before your very eyes. Sunday lunch will be served following your yoga session and walk. Roy is an amazing and animated cook, be prepare to be delighted and learn easy ways to incorporate healthy food into your diet! In all we have 4 yoga session, two hikes, and cookery demonstrations following each meal!

Tig Roy is a very special place, offering accommodation privately situated in the beautiful Glen of Aherlow, South Tipperary, at the foothills of the Galtee Mountains, the highest inland range of mountains in Ireland and noted for its breathtaking scenery .



This lovely venue is a 2 1/4 drive from Dublin.Comfortable and homely accommodation is in shared twin rooms in the lodge.

Balancing Head and Heart Kundelini Yoga Workshop - featuring a Gong Bath Meditation with Sotantar

The Gong Bath Meditation will immerse you in sound as you are guided into a deeper level within. The Gong sounds and vibrations stimulate a meditation and contemplation state in which we have the opportunity to see and surrender the control of the mind.

Intermediate/Advanced Yoga Workshop - David Muehsam
March 30th-April 1st

For practitioners with some experience, this workshop will be an opportunity to deepen one‚s practice, with guidance for progressing into more advanced postures and practices. We will do full yoga practices, and begin to focus on refining the poses to allow for a sustainable deepening of one‚s own practice. We will give a little extra emphasis to the variations of backbending and inversions, and how to use different variations to safely develop these seemingly challenging practices. We‚ll begin to perform some of the more advanced pranayama practices, including kumbhaka (breath retention).
As we practice, we will explore in more detail the inner balance or harmony inherent in each of the poses, and how to work within the postures to safely develop some of the more advanced practices. We‚ll see how this inner balance awakens the internal processes of the bandhas, and the natural balance of energy that comes when the postures and breath work together in harmony. We will also practice ways of experiencing and using the bandhas from the perspective of Vinyasa or breath/movement, and how this can naturally lead towards sequencing of the postures.

Shakti Spirit Yoga and Ayurveda Weekend Workshop - with Rachel Hull

Most Yoga practitioners have heard of Ayurveda, but few have the experience to integrate it into their personal practice or classes.
We each have an individual Ayurvedic constitution made up of various combinations of what Ayurveda calls doshas ˆ these are vata, pitta and kapha. External conditions such as the weather, as well as diet and lifestyle, can cause the doshas to become imbalanced (vikriti).
The weekend workshop is designed to increase your understanding of Ayurveda and to give you the skills to balance the doshas through your Yoga practice. Whether or not the scheduled class relates to your current condition, you will find it fascinating to learn about yourself as well as recognise things about the people around you; this might be friends, family members or students. It is also important to realise that regardless of our individual constitution, it is possible to become imbalanced in any of the three doshas.
Whether you are a teacher, or a keen practitioner, this information is invaluable for maintaining a state of balance during your years of Yoga practice. If you are already teaching Yoga, you will find the sequences give you many teaching tools and direction for the future.

Students will leave with a print out of each dosha pacifying sequence, so they can continue these practices at home.
