About Melissa Curtis

Melissa has been teaching women yoga for over 14 years and is a Mother to Melissa Curtis3 children. Having started yoga in her 20’s in San Francisco, Melissa’s yoga journey has been fairly colourful. She is a fully trained Bikram, Hatha, Pre and Postnatal Yoga Teacher, Kids yoga teacher, Infant Massage Instructor, Cuidiu breastfeeding counsellor and recently completed level 1 Yin Yoga Training with Josh Summers.

Melissa is very passionate about birth which led her to start facilitating birth preparation classes, complete a doula and postnatal doula training and most recently has completed a Well Woman/Womb Yoga training with the well-known women’s health advocate, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.

Melissa’s passion for women’s health is obvious in her classes due to her nurturing approach and being able to respond to the needs of women’s health issues. Whether in or out of the yoga room and knowing well how challenging life can be, Melissa loves to empower and support women from all walks of life.

About Oisine Hannon

Oisine Hannon Oisine Hannon qualified in 1986 from Trinity College Dublin. She worked in the general hospital setting for over 15 years and has experience in general musculoskeletal and sports injuries but now works mainly with Men, Women and Children’s pelvic health treating Pelvic Pain and both bladder and bowel disorders.

Oisine’s special interest is manual therapy of the pelvic floor, pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy and the treatment of all pelvic problems such as incontinence and constipation, in both men, women, and children.

Further to her clinical work in the BeaconHospital, Oisine has undertaken numerous courses to include a postgraduate in Acupuncture with the British College of Acupuncture, and in women’s health from Bradford University in England.

Lisa Wilkinson

Lisa opened The elbowroom in February 2003. Mother to Tuilelaith and Sean, director of The elbowroom and with a crew of over 35 staff, she is a busy bee. Lisa leads a team committed to bringing health and vitality to all of her clients. Lisa currently teaches in our yoga training programs, pregnancy yoga and mum and baby yoga. Lisa works hard developing healthy food choices for Graze Canteen @ The elbowroom. She specialises paediatric and pregnancy with workshops, yoga therapy and craniosacral therapy.
