TYPES OF YOGA
- Ashtanga: The most physically demanding yoga. A series of flowing
postures, synchronising movement & breath. You're going to get hot here!
- Body Conditioning: Build strength along with flexibility and build
up cardio vascular staminar for a healthy heart. If you dont like gyms, but
would like a serious work out, join us before work. Body conditioning works
on the ideal that well toned muscles burn fat and energy more efficiently.
Please eat a light breakfast (i.e.yogurt and a banana) before class to give
yourself an energy boost!
- Mysore: An early morning Ashtanga self practice session. Open to
anyone who would like to come along and do their own yoga practice in a group
setting.
- Community class: Calm and relaxation at lunch time for those working
and living locally.
- Hatha Yoga: A gentle flowing style of yoga combining breath with
movement to flex and tone the body, soothe and calm the mind. Ideal for anyone
feeling stressed and in need of relaxation.
- Hot Yoga: This challenging class will take you through a series of
focused, progressive postures to promote a cleansing of sweat, reshape muscles,
and increase strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. The heat improves
the body's pliability in order to deepen your practice. Dress to sweat, bring
a bottle of water and a hand towel! Great for losing weight!
- Iyengar: An essential foundation in yoga with focus on physical alignment.
Great for soothing the mind and improving body awareness and posture.
- Mum & Baby Yoga: Yoga and Pilates fusion to help regain your shape
and enjoy interaction with your new baby. All welcome from 6 weeks to crawling.
- Mum & Baby Massage: Give your baby the best start, from birth to
sitting. Classes run on the first Tuesday of each month, includes a free bottle
of oil.
- Pre-Natal Yoga: Breathing, relaxation, posture work & guidance for
birth preparation. Classes tailored for second or third trimesters.
- Private Yoga & Pilates: One-on-one tuition. Tailored programs.
- Vinyasa Flow Yoga: Incorporates a variety of yoga styles with a fluid
motion connecting a series of progressive postures.
LEVELS
- Level I: A beginners class. An essential foundation for Yoga. Stretching,
opening, postures, breathwork and relaxation.
- Level II: For more experienced students. Build on your existing practice.
- Level III: For experienced students. Build on your existing practice.
For those who have done yoga for over a year. Please no beginners!
- Level IV: For advanced students. Build on your existing practice.
For those who have done yoga or pilates for for over two years. Please no
beginners!
WHAT YOU NEED
- New students should arrive 15 minutes early
- Please sign in to Reception before each class.
- Please be on time, no admittance 10 minutes after classes begin
- Hot yoga students will need to have water and a towel
- Yoga mats are on sale in the studio for €25. . We hire mats for €1,
but in the interests of hygiene, we recommend purchasing your own if you plan
to take a series of classes.
- Wear comfortable, light clothing
- Please take off your shoes as you enter the building
- Try not to eat for two hours before class---please DO eat a light breakfast
before Body Conditioning (i.e. yogurt and fruit)
- For Ashtanga please bring a small towel if necessary
- Showers and shower gel are available free of charge in Studio 2.
- Small towels can be hired for €1 at reception.
- Drink plenty of water before and after your class
PRIVATE CLASSES
Private Tuition is available for €80 for one hour, €45 for half hour. We will
give a 10% discount for those who block book 6 or more sessions. A private session
will :
- Assess your requirements, flexibility and specific needs
- Evaluate your posture
- Build a specific tailored program to suit your own goals and requirements
- Guide you through an individual yoga session
Prices available on request for group private classes, (starts at €120+).
