Improving Handwritting skills

Are you interested in improving your child’s handwriting and fine motor co-ordination?

Then why not visit the new Children’s area in St Patrick’s Cathedral Dublin.

What will be on offer?

Arrangements have been put in place between The elbowroom, Occupational Therapist Adeline Cully and the Education Officer, Stephen Smith for free admission to the Cathedral and the opportunity to use the Children’s area with the following activities on offer.

  • Use of free paper and specialist brass rubbing crayons for Brass Rubbing. There are 16 brasses of various types set in desk tops with easy access usage.
  • Use of a giant sized jig-saw of the west window.
  • Use of scaled construction model of the Cathedral which can be created individually or as a group and with plans to follow If wished.
  • Use of a 3 feet wide Touch Screen showing all areas of the Cathedral and historical information of such fascinating famous people as Jonathan Swift.

Parents will be required to be responsible for their children throughout the visit.  No booking required just arrive on the day.  This event is free of charge.
