5-Week Baby Massage

Emotionally, massage will provide your baby with a sense of well-being and security and can communicate the love you feel for your child. Once you start to massage your baby you will begin to understand how important the sense of touch is to both you and your baby.

Our course is led by Nina Healy, an experienced pre- and postnatal yoga teacher specialising in Baby Massage and Pregnancy Yoga.

Meet new parents, make new friends and enjoy some tea and chats. Organic vegetable oils used during massage keeps skin moisturised.

Suitable form 6 weeks postpartum up to crawling.

Booking in advance is recommended as the course fills up very quickly.

rest, relax, prepare for birth

Calm Mama

Calm Mama is a perfect way to help your body rest, relax, prepare for birth and bring forth life. Using breathing, visualisation and deep relaxation techniques, take a rest from the stresses and anxieties you may be feeling during pregnancy and in preparation for birth.

This workshop, suitable for any stage of your pregnancy, will help you gain an insight into how to use relaxation, breathing and hypnobirthing techniques in pregnancy and during birth. Taught by Lisa Wilkinson a prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher and experienced doula, this workshop is a great introduction to the tools used in hypnobirthing and other deep relaxation techniques.

Preparing for Birth Partner Workshop

Empowering and Informing for Birth – Covered by most health care plan

Join experienced doula Lisa Wilkinson for a three-hour workshop that will give you a deeper understanding of how you, your baby, and your body prepares for labour and birth. You will gain knowledge to help you to support this normal physiological process.

Lisa has been supporting women in hospital and home through her work as a doula and birthing educator for over 20 years. Mother to two, she is passionate about advocating for choice and informed consent. Lisa will discuss the anatomy and physiology of the stages of labour, explore the use of a birthing ball and different yoga postures to promote optimal fetal positioning, widen pelvic diameters and encourage supportive movements that will help to ease and manage discomfort and contractions as you progress through labour. Lisa places a great emphasis on empowering partners to support birthing women and provide the best atmosphere to encourage the progression of labour and birth in the safest way possible.

Over the years countless midwives have recalled how women who attend independent birthing workshops and practice yoga as a preparation for birth utilise what they have learned to the greatest advantage. Focus will be on how to use breathing and relaxation techniques will prepare you mentally, facilitating production of essential endorphins and oxytocin. We wish to inform, empower and increase your and your partner’s confidence as you approach the birth of your baby.

Prepare Your Body and Mind for Birth and Motherhood

Prenatal Yoga with Lisa Wilkinson – Thursday @6:30pm – classes are composed of a series of exercises that will help your body cope with the huge changes going on and prepare for the birth of your baby or babies.

Prenatal Pilates 4-week Course with Stephen O’Rourke – Wednesday @6:30pm – done right can help you sail through your nine months feeling more mobile and comfortable and help you bounce back sooner after giving birth.

Mum&Baby Yoga with Hannah Colgan – Monday @10:30am – Parent and baby yoga is a form of yoga in which parents or caregivers use their hands and body to move a baby in a variety of ways that can be both stretching and strengthening. A great way for parents to bond with their new baby, meet peers with shared experience, where support and community is present.

Bring Baby Post Natal Pilates with Lisa Wilkinson – Friday @10:30am – the safest and most effective way to get back into physical activity after having your baby. During the sessions we will check for any abdominal muscle separation, learn and practice exercises that are specifically designed to; strengthen the Pelvic floor, strengthen the abdominal muscles, reduce back pain and improve posture and core strength. Babies are welcome under the supervision of their mammy.
