Paula Flood

Paula has been practising yoga since the mid-nineties and teaching full-time for over 18 years.  She is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance UK and has studied various yoga and meditation styles including Hatha, restorative, prenatal, yoga therapy, anti-gravity yoga and mindfulness.  She completed functional anatomy training with Susi Hately in London in 2010 and continues to update this regularly.

Paula has been involved in yoga training for over 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teaching.  She writes: ‘Training to be a yoga teacher will transform and enrich your life. It is a journey of self-discovery, at times intense but always rewarding.  I am grateful to be part of this and share my love of yoga and meditation with students.’

‘Yoga is practical.  We learn most when we engage with the material so my training sessions are lively, creative, interactive and fun! In asana practice, expect attention to detail, mindful movement and deep release.’

Paula meditates regularly and also teaches meditation at the Dublin Sri Chinmoy Centre.  In 2013 Paula opened Om Yoga, a boutique studio in Dublin 7.

Bev Porrino

With more than 30 years of experience in the wellness sector, Bev combines yoga with the latest techniques in Neuroscience and Neuromuscular Therapies. She is passionate about helping people to understand how amazing their bodies are and, with a few tools, how quickly they can change emotional states and override muscle tension and stress in their own body and mind.

Bev trained as a nurse, before holding several positions in local government,  from Operations Manager, Social Work Practice Teacher & Emergency Duty Team Support. She was also part of a 2 year UK Nationwide, Stress management focus team looking into the effects of stress and aggression in the workplace. She went on to develop stress management and health & wellness courses for organisations in the UK and in The Netherlands.

A career break gave her the time to combine two of her favourite activities, yoga and food. She went on to open a small boutique yoga & food space in Amsterdam, where she lived for 12 years with her partner.

In 2012 she relocated to Ireland and has since been busy delivering workshops, seminars, and retreats to the gorgeous population of Ireland.

Sophia Pallaro

Sophia Pallaro

Sophia is an experienced yoga and meditation teacher and has been practicing meditation since her teenage years and yoga for over a decade. She has explored a variety of meditation traditions and in recent years has been consistently working with Mindfulness.

She has completed many meditation retreats in Ireland and abroad and has attended trainings and intensives with Donna Farhi, Michael Stone and James Higgins. She has recently trained in Yin yoga with Josh Summers.

Her teaching style places great emphasis on integrating mindfulness and self-compassion within the practice. Cultivating presence, awareness and kindness are paramount in both her practice and teaching. Over the years she has developed great deal of experience teaching restorative and mindful movement and meditation, bringing these practices to hundreds of students in an easy and direct way.

Sophia has been teaching Restorative and Mindful Practice The elbowroom Foundation Yoga teacher Training for the last two years.

Susie Murray

Susie Murray

Susie is a qualified Yoga, Pilates and Barre teacher, having trained in an eclectic array of teacher trainings including The elbowroom, Stott Pilates, and Yoga Vidya Gurukul.

She believes the breath is the key to the practice and designs her classes around the connection between the breath and movement. In each class, she builds an intelligent, purposeful sequence to become a moving meditation.  

Her classes are always to be practiced with a light heart, full commitment but also to be fun and feel good. Through everything she has learned, she hopes to inspire a confidence within her students to find an inner rhythm through their movement and to promote healing, strength, and flexibility.

Susie believes that yoga provides a nurturing practice physically, mentally and spiritually, and it evokes a sense of stillness in the mind allowing us to discover our natural peaceful state.
