Leading The Self – The deeper dimensions of yoga teaching
LEADING THE SELF: LIVING BY VOW
Elbow Room Advanced Teacher Training
I believe as teachers, we are called to serve a bigger purpose of evolution. We are activists – activating potential through our work. At this time on the planet, we are being asked to step up and off the mat. This starts with leading the self.
This weekend module is for you if…..
- You are feeling like you want more clarity around what you are offering
- You want to uncover and refine your own unique intention, vow and signature as a teacher
- you want to evolve your business and create a coherent strategy which is congruent with your soul’s calling
- You would like to expand your capacity to facilitate safe space
Join me in a deep dive to uncover your true purpose, find your unique voice and build your practice and business around what really matters to you and you are being called to do. At this harvest full moon this two-day experimental module- part practical, part mystical- will be an opportunity to celebrate and harvest the gifts of your teaching journey so far and take stock of what’s next.
Over the two days, we will work with the modalities of developmental coaching, yoga, movement, meditation, voice work, facilitation training and ritual to refine your unique offering, strengthen your skill at holding space, clarify your purpose and intention as a yoga teacher and lead and live your noble vow.
Mari Kennedy
Teacher, inquirer, wisdom seeker, change maker Mari has been exploring and experimenting with what it means to live a full and meaningful life, for the past 14 years. In her work, she weaves ancient wisdom practices with contemporary developmental psychology, neuroscience, Integral spirituality and Zen.
After two decades as manager and strategist, she stepped off the corporate ladder to pick up her passion – personal and societal change, adult development and potential; first becoming a yoga teacher, then a coach, a mindfulness teacher and then an Integral facilitator. The journey was sometimes messy and circuitous, often unclear but always worth it!
She has been a yoga teacher since 2005 and she loves every minute of teaching. Her journey as a yogi has challenged her to step up into living intentionally, bravely, responsibility and aligned to her deepest self. This has led her to set up an organisational development and coaching business and to curate creative projects that ask big questions about society. She has coached CEOs, managing partners, leadership teams, leading Irish creatives and artists and in particular, women who want to live a more empowered life. Her creative projects include Census of The Heart and Ireland: Iceland project
Her daily practice and self-study are the foundation of her work with the ongoing guidance of her teachers past and present. They include Diane Musho Hamilton (Zen, facilitation, mindfulness), Dolores Whelan (Celtic Wisdom), Joan Davis (embodiment/ somatics) Rosella Baroncini ( Scaravelli yoga), John Friend & Sianna Sherman( Anusara yoga ), Abbi Galvin (Katonah yoga) Mary O’Callaghan ( Mindfulness & Self Compassion), Rob McNamara (Developmental psychology & coaching) Chloe Goodchild ( Naked voice)
