Emma Cahill – Paediatric Occupational Therapist
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008 in the UK and developed my
specialism in Paediatrics from 2010. Prior to this, I worked mainly with adults
with mental health difficulties in the community and an inpatient unit. Working
in London provided me with a range of skills that are incorporated into my
clinical specialism. I’ve worked in various environments including schools,
clinics, and homes. I’ve worked with babies to young adults with my specialist
area being children on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD), ADHD, DCD/Dyspraxia,
Developmental delay. I also have many years working with children with
physical disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Hemiplegia, Down’s syndrome,
genetic disorders, Cancer and various other disabilities.
My love of working with children led me to complete post-graduate training in
Sensory Integration (Post graduate certificate), Sleep practitioner training,
Therapeutic Listening programme, Supporting selective eaters, Splint & lycra
suit training, certificate to practice in Housing adaptation and design and other
courses.
I look forward to bringing my skills to the community!
