Liz Halliday has been working as a midwife with Private Midwives since 2014. Private Midwives is a Care Quality Commission registered and regulated service connecting expectant women and their families with experienced midwives, who provide birth support, antenatal and postnatal care at times and locations that work best for them.
After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Midwifery, Liz went on to become a Staff Midwife at The Coombe Women and Infant’s Hospital, between 2010-2011. In 2013 she began working as a Nurse on Call Agency Midwife at the Midlands Regional Hospital. During her time at the Midlands Regional Hospital, she spent time in the antenatal, emergency room, labour and postnatal wards. This gave her experience in all aspects of midwifery, from early pregnancy through to postnatal care.
Liz’s passion for women’s choice, informed consent and evidence-based care have allowed her to flourish in her position as a midwife with Private Midwives.
