Kundalini – Moving into Stillness With Sandra Lulei

We live in a fast-paced world. Every day we are flooded with images and information and are confronted with a seemingly never-ending to-do list.

The focus remains on tomorrow rather than the here and now. But we do need to find ways to be able to deal with the intensity of our lifestyles and the stress of overwhelming times in our lives.

This Kundalini Yoga workshop helps us to create a space and time for ourselves to embrace our own stillness, to go deep within, in order to connect with ourselves to be at peace. By quietening our minds we can become more mindful of the present moment and allow for a reflective space within. From here we can act with increased awareness and clarity, instead of reacting to emotions, habits and agendas that no longer serve us.

Through pranayama (breath work), kriya (particular sequence of postures), mudra (hand positions) and mantra (sound current) we will explore the movement into stillness and the connection of body, mind and spirit.

The asanas (postures) mainly consist of gentle movements with attention to the breath and great focus of the mind. The kriya will be followed by a guided deep relaxation utilising body awareness in connection to the breath. We will finish with a beautiful healing meditation that uses mantra and visualisation.

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and the more experienced.

“The power of kundalini yoga lies in the actual experience. It goes right into your heart and extends your consciousness so you may have a wider horizon of grace and knowing the truth.”
– Yogi Bhajan
